Welcome! Meet your new mental health therapist!

Jenny Harris, therapist, smiling, wearing glasses and a green shirt.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a change, you are in the right place! Whether you’re navigating major life transitions, working toward sobriety, struggling with anxious thoughts, or ready to process past trauma—I’ve got you.

I specialize in working with adults and college students who are feeling lost, anxious, burned out, or unsure of their next steps. For over 10 years, I’ve helped people feel more confident, empowered, and in control of their lives.

My favorite part about being a therapist? Seeing people transform. I love celebrating your wins —big or small— while also holding space for difficulties difficult moments.

Why work with me?

I believe therapy should be practical, empowering, and even fun! I take a directive but supportive approach, meaning, I won’t sit back and nod—I’ll challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and teach coping skills to utilize in your day to day life. I love teaching people the psycho-education of how the brain is trying to help us, but is actually messing thing up… a lot! I mix light-hearted humor and metaphors to help ease the therapeutic process.

Here’s what you can expect when working with me:

  • A collaborative, goal-oriented approach: We will work together to identify what’s keeping you stuck and create a plan to move forward.

  • Practical strategies: No fluff and no worksheets. I’ll teach you real. actionable tools to improve your mental health and daily life.

  • Psychoeducation: I love teaching people how the brain tries to help us, but sometimes makes things worse. Understanding why you feel the way you do can reduce shame, alleviate struggles, and create real change.

  • A mix of humor & honesty: Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff and formal. I use metaphors, light-hearted humor, and relatable examples to help ease the process.

  • A safe space to show up as your real self: I show up as my quirky, human self and invite you to do the same!

My approach to therapy

I believe we are humans first. Before any other title that can be given to us, we are simply humans trying to figure life out. This is why I create a space where you can be yourself—no judgement, no pressure.

I blend different approaches based on your needs, inculding:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Changing unhelpful thought patterns.

  • Motivational Interviewing: Helping you move toward meaningful changes.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Focusing on strengths and actionable solutions.

  • Psychoeducation: Helping you understand why your brain and body react the way they do, so you can work with yourself rather than against yourself.

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART): Fast and effective trauma processing

Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you— because you are not broken. It’s about helping you learn the tools and identify the strengths you already have to create the life you want.

Wait, what exactly is ART?

Acceleration Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful trauma processing modality that helps your brain “unplug” from unhelpful responses to memories, sensations, and emotions. Utilizing bilateral eye movements, ART can quickly decrease anxiety, OCD, limiting beliefs, pain management, and other symptoms. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART allows you to reprocess trauma without having to relive it.

The best part? Sessions can feel fun, satisfying, and relieving. You’ve experienced the worst of the event and symptoms. Processing it doesn’t have to be painful, too.

Okay, but who really is Jenny?

Glad you asked! I was raised in western Wisconsin, moved to Minnesota for graduate school, and never left! I love spending time with my friend and family playing games, planning costume parties and events, or exploring local festivals and concerts. I enjoy the typical Minnesotan stereotypes like reading, hiking, kayaking, and the Minnesota State Fair. I’ve learned the most while traveling to places like Japan, Europe, and hope to widen my cultural experiences through more travel in the future.

The story ‘bee’hind the name.

Just Bee Psychotherapy is a tribute to my my dad who passed away in 2018. My dad was a Beekeeper when I was born and he later became a Bee Broker, connecting farmers with beekeepers. My dad was very outgoing and loved connecting people to one another — something I enjoy as well!

When my dad died, I made radical changes— in my personal life and in my therapy approach. “Just Bee” is a reminder that, we do not need to constantly be ‘fixing’ ourselves. Sometimes, we just need to exist, be present, and give ourselves grace.

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we will ever do.”
